UGC - NET Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification Details :

⦿ A candidate must have a Master’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university with at least 55% marks in their qualifying examination, while SC/ST/ PWD/ OBC-NCL/ Third Gender candidates need only. 50% marks.
⦿ Candidates who are appearing in the final year of their Postgraduate examination are also eligible to apply for UGC NET June 2024.


Age limit Details :

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):

⦿ The upper age limit is 30 years as of the first day of the examination month.
⦿ There is a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC-NCL/ PWD/ Third Gender categories.


Assistant Professor:

⦿ No lower or upper age limit.
UGC - NET 2024 Exam Date

Exam date for UGC NET for June 2024 is announced officially by National Testing Agency, it will be held in the Computer Based Test mode with an exam time duration of 03 hours from 10th to 21st June 2024 in two shifts from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon and 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm, reporting time for 1st and 2nd shift is 7:30 am and 1:30 pm, respectively.
